Enjoying the Moment

Apologies for the small hiatus, a lot of unexpected events have been happening up at Flight School, including a purchase of a brand-spankin new computer. With the downtime I had a chance to appreciate the oft-overlooked beauty of the detail. People rarely take the time to slow down and enjoy the moment anymore, so today we're going to slow the energy down in honor of I-Movix's Sprint Cam, a "broadcast-integrated, native HD, ultra-slow-motion solution offering frame rates of 500 to 1,000 fps with instant replay which produces slow-motion output equivalent to 20 to 40 times slower than normal speed. The Sprint Cam was the official HD camera of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It is breath-taking not only because of the extreme slow motion, but also because of the crispness and clarity of the color. Enjoy the beauty of life slowed down.

Daft Punk - Something About Us
Daft Punk doesn't need an introduction, but here is a lesser known track from the French Duo, the theme song from their full length animated movie "Interstella 5555 - The 5tory of The 5ecret 5tar 5ystem"

Peggy Lee - Fever (Gabin Remix Edit)
Here's a sexy remix of a classic track from the Pink Panther Penthouse Party album (if you're wondering, the pink panther throws the freshest events, and he's clearly a master of alliteration)

The XX - Intro
A beautiful alternative rock track from the breakout duo the XX. This track is beautiful in its depth, and I have to say, the pair put on a hell of a show. I was fortunate enough to see them at Coachella 2010, aka Woodstock 2010, the show that cannot be topped (but we'll reserve final judgment until we see Daft Punk at Coachella 2011)

Xavier Rudd - Fortune Teller
This track is a sexy tune from Australia-native Xavier Rudd, and it's got an aboriginal electrofunk vibe that's unique and different. It's a track that works well on both the dancefloor and in the bedroom.

Bonus:
Marco Demark - Tiny Dancer (Deadmau5 Remix)
Deadmau5's chord-heavy take on a classic Elton John track, one of my favorite remixes of all time.
